1970 MGB GT--SOLD (Massachusetts) - $0

1970 MGB GT--SOLD (Massachusetts) - $0

Very nice one year only "split bumper" 1970 'B GT. Finished in classic British Racing Green with a black interior. This MGB is a strong driver that presents itself very well. Lots of recent work including the following: $5000 in updgrades added to the car in 2012, including new heater core, new mid muffler, new rear muffler, new gas tank sender, 2 vent seals, new fuel pump, new rear axle straps, new oil pressure sender unit, new transmission bearing & sprint, new speedometer cable, new defroster tubes, new sun visors, two new brake cylinders, new heater cable and knobs, set up windshield wipers, new rear view mirror, new rear hatch back cover gaskets, new windshield washer pump, rebuilt speedometer installed, replaced left rear brake line, bled brakes, and repositioned exhaust support clamps, new brake master cylinder. The car starts and runs very well. 1800cc four cylinder is and economical and spirited performer. Very clean engine bay. The original smog equipment has been removed, allowing the engine to perform as it was originally designed to. The 4 speed transmission has the crisp, positive feel MGB's are famous for. The body is very solid with an older respray that has aged well. All the chrome and trim are in good condition. The painted wire wheels are wrapped in nearly new tires. All the glass is in excellent shape. The interior is very nice with excellent seats and carpet. The rear seat folds flat for added cargo room. Mountmey wooden steering and gearshift knob are a wonderfully British touch. All gauges and lights work. MGB's make great first classics. Parts are readily available and they are simple, strait forward, and affordable to work on. The hardtop body style of the GT's makes for a comfortable and dry all weather cruiser.
