Other premium options ordered for this car include Firestone black tires, heater (underseat), and radio. Purchased by Mr. Whitney W. Child, and includes original Cadillac Owner Service Policy issued in Newport, Rhode Island, one of America's premier upper class community. Attached to the passenger side kick panel is the Cadillac Owners Identification Card, issued to Mr. Child of Newport. Cadillac featured some premium design and styling features in the '46 line-up, including graceful hood ornament that opens the front hood and the gas filler is hidden in the driver's side tail light, including a period security key lock. The interior on this example is sensational--period fitted clear plastic seat covers over original broadcloth interior. Pleasing dash with beautiful wood grain treatment and bakelite plastic. This motorcar also includes the original GM Cadillac owners manual for 1946.
