Welcome to Motorland. We are licensed preowned car dealer in the State of Maine. We specialize in classic and specialty cars, trucks and motorcycles.
#1. Maine residents are subject to 5.5% sales tax. If you are resident of any other state, province, or country, we will need you to provide a copy of a valid drivers license from your home jurisdiction and complete a special Affadavit of Immediate Removal form that certifies that you are a not a Maine resident and will be removing the car to your home state/province/country and are exempt from our local state sales tax.
#2. All sales are subject to $95 doc fee and a mandatory $1 State of Maine arbitration fee required for all automobile sales.
#3. We accept the following methods of payment only: cash (US Dollars) or bank check. Personal checks are accepted but vehicles will not be released for approximately 10 business days until funds clear bank. For Paypal, please add 3% to cover their fees for any payment–partial or in full. For the convenience of credit card payments, please add the appropriate credit card fees (please check with us to confirm exact percentage based on your credit card–generally it is 4%). If you pay via bank wire transfer, please add $25 bank fee, for each wire transfer.
#4. Deposits are non-refundable. If you put down a deposit to buy a car, then you are agreeing to complete the transaction based on specific terms agreed upon for the sale. Deposits can be made via credit card, cash, or bank check. Personal checks are accepted once funds clear from the bank.
#5. Buyers are responsible for pick-up or delivery of the car and registration. All cars purchased must be taken delivery of within 7 days of purchase (unless other arrangements are made and agreed in writing). After 7 days, we charge a storage fee of $100/month or any fraction thereof. We are always glad to assist with our delivery. We partner with both local, regional, national, and international transport specialists.
#7. All sales are final and cars are sold in as-is, where-is condition with no warranty expressed or implied. We encourage buyers to inspect each car or have a representative inspect car on their behalf before purchasing.
#8. We love to trade when we can. If you would like to trade, please keep in mind that we seek classic cars and trucks in trade (sorry, no motorcycles). Sometimes, we will consider a more modern specialty car, but our business is classics. We offer wholesale value for trade-ins and the buyer is responsible for delivery of the trade-in vehicle to our showroom, as well as pick-up of the car.
